About Us

Indian Gadget Finder is India’s trusted independent gadget review platform. We exist to help every Indian — from a first-time smartphone buyer in a Tier-3 town to a power user building a workstation in Bengaluru — make a smarter, more confident technology purchase through honest, in-depth, and genuinely unbiased reviews.

Who We Are

Indian Gadget Finder was founded on a simple frustration: most gadget “reviews” Indians find online are either thinly rewritten spec sheets, paid placements disguised as opinion, or reviews written for a Western market that ignore how a device actually behaves in Indian conditions. We set out to fix that. We are a remote-first team of reviewers, writers, and editors spread across India who test technology the way you actually use it — on real Indian networks, in real Indian weather, against real Indian prices.

We are not owned by a manufacturer, a retailer, or a telecom operator. We are an independent publication, and that independence is the single most important thing we have. It is the reason a reader can trust that a 6/10 from us means a genuine 6/10, and not a number negotiated with a brand’s marketing department.

Our Mission

At Indian Gadget Finder, our mission is straightforward: help every Indian consumer make the best technology buying decision for their budget and their needs. We believe expert, honest reviews should be accessible to everyone — not locked behind paywalls or buried under sponsored noise.

We test every device in real-world Indian conditions — from Mumbai’s coastal humidity to Delhi’s winter dust, from patchy rural 4G to premium metro 5G. Our reviews reflect how gadgets actually perform across India, not how they behave in a temperature-controlled lab in another country. When we say a phone overheats during summer gaming or that a laptop’s fingerprint sensor struggles in dry weather, it is because we felt it ourselves.

We are 100% editorially independent. Our reviews are never influenced by advertisers, affiliate partners, or brand relationships. If a product is bad, we say so plainly — even when the brand is a commercial partner. We would rather lose a partnership than lose a reader’s trust.

What We Cover

We focus on the categories Indians shop for most, and we go deep in each one rather than chasing every gadget on earth:

  • Smartphones — In-depth reviews of every major smartphone launch in India, with real-world camera comparisons, scientific battery-drain tests, thermal-throttling checks, and gaming benchmarks on titles like BGMI and Genshin Impact. We cover everything from sub-₹10,000 budget phones to ₹1.5 lakh flagships.
  • Laptops & PCs — Comprehensive laptop reviews covering sustained performance, true battery life under Indian usage, display colour accuracy, thermals, and value for money — tailored to students, creators, and working professionals.
  • Audio Gear — TWS earbuds, over-ear headphones, neckbands, Bluetooth speakers, and soundbars tested for sound signature, ANC effectiveness, microphone quality on calls, latency for gaming, and build quality.
  • Wearables — Smartwatches and fitness bands reviewed for heart-rate and SpO2 accuracy (cross-checked against medical-grade devices), GPS reliability, battery life, and how well their fitness features actually fit Indian lifestyles.
  • Smart Home — Smart speakers, smart bulbs, security cameras, robot vacuums, and IoT devices — tested for compatibility with Indian voltage standards, app reliability on Indian broadband, and Alexa/Google Assistant support for Indian accents and languages.
  • Gaming — Gaming laptops, consoles, controllers, headsets, and accessories reviewed for real performance, thermals, and India-specific pricing and availability.
  • Accessories & Essentials — Power banks, chargers, cables, cases, adapters, and the everyday gear that keeps your devices running.

How We Test

Every product we review goes through a structured, hands-on evaluation over an extended period — typically one to three weeks of daily use, never a rushed weekend. Our process includes:

  • Real-world daily use — We make the device our primary one for the review window, so our verdict reflects living with it, not a checklist run in an afternoon.
  • Standardised benchmarks — Where relevant we run repeatable, comparable tests (synthetic benchmarks, timed charging tests, screen-on-time logging, brightness and colour measurements) so scores are consistent across reviews.
  • Stress and endurance testing — Sustained gaming sessions, thermal monitoring, and back-to-back workloads reveal how a device holds up over time, not just in the first ten minutes.
  • India-specific checks — Network performance on Jio, Airtel, and Vi; charger compatibility with Indian sockets; heat performance in Indian summers; and pricing against what is actually available on Amazon India, Flipkart, and offline retail.
  • Value assessment — A great product at the wrong price is a bad buy. Every rating weighs performance against the real street price in India.

Our ratings are earned, not given. A high score reflects genuine excellence relative to price and competition; a low score is a warning we stand behind.

Our Rating Scale

We rate products out of 10, broken down across the criteria that matter for each category (for example: performance, display, battery, camera, and value for a smartphone). We do not grade on a curve, and we do not inflate scores to keep brands happy. A score in the 8s or 9s is reserved for products that genuinely excel; most good-but-not-exceptional products land in the 6–7 range, exactly as they should.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial team operates entirely independently of our business and monetization teams. Products receive the same rigorous evaluation regardless of whether we have an affiliate agreement, have received a review unit, or have any commercial relationship with the brand. Manufacturers cannot preview content before publication, cannot approve or veto a rating, and cannot pay to change a conclusion. When content is sponsored, it is always clearly and prominently labelled as such, and it is kept separate from our independent reviews.

Corrections & Updates

We are human, and technology changes fast. When we get something wrong, we correct it transparently. When a product changes meaningfully after a major software or firmware update, we revisit and update the review rather than leaving outdated conclusions in place. If you spot an error, we want to know — and we genuinely appreciate readers who help us keep our content accurate.

Meet the Team

Indian Gadget Finder is written and edited by a team of experienced technology journalists and domain specialists — covering smartphones, laptops and computing, audio, wearables, and gaming. Each reviewer brings hands-on expertise in their category, and every published review passes through editorial review before it goes live. You can find author bios and a full archive of each writer’s work on their individual author pages.
