Indian Gadget Finder respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users and readers to do the same. This page explains our copyright policy and the process for submitting a takedown notice or a counter-notice.

Copyright Policy

We take copyright seriously. We do not knowingly publish material that infringes the rights of others, and we respond promptly to valid, clearly documented notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable law, including the principles of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. If you believe that any content on Indian Gadget Finder infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to represent, you may submit a takedown notice as described below.

Filing a DMCA / Copyright Takedown Notice

To file a notice, please email hello@indiangadgetfinder.com with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Request” and include all of the following. Incomplete notices may delay our response:

  • A clear description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property you claim has been infringed, and, where possible, a link to or copy of the original.
  • The exact URL(s) on our website where the allegedly infringing material is located, so we can find it. General references to a section of the site are not sufficient.
  • Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What Happens After We Receive a Valid Notice

Upon receiving a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we will review it in good faith and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, typically within a reasonable period. We may notify the user who posted or is associated with the content and provide them with a copy of the notice so they may respond. We are not obligated to remove content in response to notices that are incomplete, abusive, or clearly invalid.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed or disabled in error — for example, because the use was authorised, was a fair use/fair dealing, or the notice was mistaken — you may submit a counter-notice to hello@indiangadgetfinder.com. Your counter-notice should include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts, and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review counter-notices in good faith and may restore the content where appropriate and permitted by law.

Misuse of This Process

Submitting a false or bad-faith takedown notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages under applicable law. Please be sure your claim is valid and that you are the rights holder or an authorised representative before filing.

Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to remove content and to restrict or terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe, or are believed to be repeatedly infringing, the intellectual property rights of others.
